Today, the staff at RH Irving’s Matfen office took part in the Macmillan coffee morning fundraiser. Being fans of a buffet, we decided to have an “all you can eat” lunch event, with donations from all those involved, both in food and in money.
Once again, the staff did not disappoint!
The amount of tasty savoury and sweet goodies was enormous, and it was a lovely experience to all get together and share a meal, while doing something great for a worthwhile charity.
When all the tummies were filled, we had a quick count up of donations, and were amazed to find we had raised a fantastic £105!
RH Irving Industrials underwent their annual ISO 9001:2015 and CE Marking audit. After 2 days of on site auditing by an SGS Auditor, RH Irving continue with their certification of ISO 9001: 2015 and CE marking of structural steel. Brian Cummings RH Irving's Health and Safety Director said "it was a very in-depth audit and we are very pleased with how it went, and a great result at the end of it. We received a great comment from the auditor to say that the audit showed the QMS to be well operated and controlled".
RH Irving Industrials Ltd have been installing purpose made lightning masts together with the below ground and GIS Earthing to a major new electricity Substation in Lincolnshire.
Some of the lightning masts installed were 20 meters high.
When asked “what’s it like working that high off the ground”? Earthing engineer said “You need a head for heights and it’s not for the faint hearted, yes you are tethered into the MEWP but it can be a bit scary when there is slight gust of wind”.
