RH Irving Industrials Earthing engineers, were back in the classroom to undertake a EUSR training and a safety stand down day.
All the earthing engineers successfully passed the EUSR SHEA GAS training and Balfour Beatty’s Behavioural Safety site training, MSP – Make Safety Personal.
This was a great platform for RH Irving’s very own Health and Safety Director Brain Cummings to present the training. One earthing engineer described the both training topics “SHEA GAS is an essential competency we require to undertake our works on gas utilities sites, so I’m glad that I passed”.
“ The behavioural safety was very interesting, I could identify how important is to think safety in everything we do”. Brian Cummings went on to say “the whole day was about safety, the course was well received for the team, and I think each member took something away from what they have learnt”.
Gary Lewis RH Irving Industrials Earthing Director added “It was great to see the whole team getting involved with the safety topic, sharing their own experiences and what they are going to change going forward”.
Brian Cummings undertakes all RH Irving Industrials in house training, a valuable company asset to keep our engineers up to date with training.
Due to the increased workload throughout the UK in ever challenging environments and locations, RH Irving Industrials Ltd Earthing Division have added a 4x4 to the company fleet of vehicles.
Today, the staff at RH Irving’s Matfen office took part in the Macmillan coffee morning fundraiser. Being fans of a buffet, we decided to have an “all you can eat” lunch event, with donations from all those involved, both in food and in money.
Once again, the staff did not disappoint!
The amount of tasty savoury and sweet goodies was enormous, and it was a lovely experience to all get together and share a meal, while doing something great for a worthwhile charity.
When all the tummies were filled, we had a quick count up of donations, and were amazed to find we had raised a fantastic £105!
